Bridesmaidzilla

Rule #1 to women whose friends are getting married:

Just because she was a bridesmaid in your wedding does not make her obligated to ask YOU to be a bridesmaid in hers.

Rule #2 to women whose friends are getting married:

If your friend, who was a bridesmaid in your wedding, asks you to fill a role in her wedding other than bridesmaid, you ARE NOT allowed to tell her how much it "hurts your feelings" that she didn't ask you to be a bridesmaid.

Seriously people. A woman doesn't get many opportunities in her life to play "Queen for a day," and have the world revolve around her. You were the bride in your wedding, and you got to have your way. Now you need to quit your whining and let THIS bride have her way, even if it means you don't get to be a bridesmaid.

It is not about you!

P.S. Being "honest" is not an acceptable excuse for being a rude b*tch. But I think that's a post for another day.

Ugh, I so wanted to elope over the whole dang bridesmaid thing. You'd be surprised how many new "friends" I suddenly had once I announced that I was getting married. Uh, no, if you treated me like crap before, I'm not going to suddenly ask you to be in my wedding because you've decided to be civil to me!

I've been in 2 weddings- mine & my little sis'. I'd be honored if I was ever asked to be in another, but am perfectly happy if it stays as just those two!

haha...food for thought. NOah and I have agreed that he best wedding at a wedding are people that are already married...I'm sure that rule doesn't ALWAYS apply, but now that I know the drama, stress and pain that goes into that one day. I'm a full on fan of doing ANYTHING to make the bride easier. Plus...gifts stay with the registry or give cash... going cheap with almost always ensure a white elephant gift at next years christmas...haha.
